It is a remix of the song Rapture with the song Riders on the Storm. They actually fit quite well together. It is the beat from Rapture with the lyrics of Riders on the Storm. The chorus is the hip hop section from Rapture with music from Riders on the Storm intertwined with music from Rapture.

I've been hearing a lot of remixed rock tunes on some of the electronica stations and the like. Crystal Method's two Community Service albums have quite a few examples, too.

Well, some early Blondie from the mid-70's definately seems to have Doors influence. Here's the original video of Rapture, it is considered the first rap song to ever hit #1 on the charts, and also to stay #1 on the rap charts longer than any other song in history (not saying much since rap was commercially less than a year old when the song came out; hard to believe, by a white woman =P

Oh yeah, it was also the first rap music video ever, of course, again, MTV was barely an hour old when the video first played =P

Oh yeah, I guess I should mention, except for the chorus, the song isn't rap. It's actually quite a beautiful song.
