This could be a scene from Yugioh or any fictional games where people battle each other for the fate of the universe. The only difference is that you got 2 adults here instead of 2 kids, and I think it's actually spot on. Only adults can treat things so seriously. I just can't see two kids in the scenario depicted but if you told me two adults were doing that I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Ive never in my life, when i was playing M:TG a crap ton in high school, had my parents or saw other parents stick around for the tournaments or hang out watching games. They never understood the rules or mechanics. My parents, like any ones should, did flip through my cardsa to make sure i wasnt playing some demonic game, but that was the extrent of it. This cartoon is trying too hard and its dumb. This isnt pee-wee football where the dads know the game.

Keep in mind your parents aren't part of this generation.
This generation of parents grew up on SNES and Playstation!

Like Eric said, you never saw any adult obsessed with MTG because they didn't grow up with that.
I'm sure you can easily find adults that act like that toward MTG now.
