Kinda odd that I am starting ANY topic on this board, as I usually don't, but has anyone else checked out Star Trek Into Darkness yet? Wondering what others thought.

Seeing it tonight. Being a fairly huge ST fan, I am looking forward to it.

I enjoyed it, but not as much as the first movie.

Very minor spoiler, but this bugged me.

It was alright, but the movie was closer in style to an Xmen action type movie than the first Star Trek movie.

I did like how they got right into the middle of it very early on. The movie was very shiny.
Overall, I think the first one is better and probably darker than "Into Darkness." I felt as far as "darkness" goes, the last Bond movie was darker, and so could this one have been with some refocusing of the storyline. Still it's worth a watch, I might watch it again before it's out of theatres.

Same reasons I saw the new Total Recall. Jessical Beil AND Kate Beckinsale in the same movie? Sign me up :-)

If you want to watch a movie based solely on how hot the actor/actress is, then just watch a porno.
