The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (Trailer)

The greatest dragon slaying story of the last century comes to film.
It looks like they are using the extended story of the Hobbit to the max... Although now they're inventing a storyline for Legolas. I am hopeful this will turn out to be similar to the 300 Elf Archers at Helms Deep which turned out to be really awesome for the film.
Considering that this goes all the way down to battle with Smaug, this movie, unlike the first one, will have a truly spectacular ending. The third movie which will focus on the Battle of Five Armies and the extended Hobbit story from the Lord of the Rings Appendices should also turn out really excellently.
I especially like that the brief bit of the scene where Bilbo is in the middle of Mirkwood, and climbs to the top of the tallest tree he could find and saw that above the gloom there was a lot of beauty. When I was a kid, this was one of my favourite parts of any book.
