Current manga update

This time including an Anime. Must be the first time I sat down to watch a clip longer than 30 seconds in a long time.
Fate Kaleid Liner Prism Ilya - At first I'm pretty skeptical because every spinoff of Fate has sucked. Every anime adaptation of Fate has sucked, and this even has magical girl in it, so that seems to be a recipe for disaster. I even read the manga and it pretty much sucked, but someone said one of the episodes stars Archer girl so I got to check it out. You can find this clip here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-7Vod6f66s
There's no subtitles but it's not like they're saying anything important.
And way to go, big sister Ilya! Thank you for delivering the fight that never was in the original game, Archer (Shirou Emiya) versus Saber. I mean seriously, do people really buy the explanation that Archer learned Unlimited Blade Works to defeat Gilgamesh who basiclaly got punched to death Shirou Emiya without any heroic powers? Isn't the fact that Unlimited Blade Works teleports the battlefield to the Graveyard of Swords a clear implication of this being the only technique that can literally break Saber, the sword personified? Sure it only took 8 years or so, but Archer girl (Illyasviel Emiya) finally show us the correct way to use counterfeit weapons to fight off Excalibur, all the way down to the super gratitious double Excalibur DBZ type exchange at the end. Sure, the rest of the anime/manga is completely worthless, but this fight is like seeing an actually good X versus Zero fight after being told 10 or 15 years that they're supposed to fight each other in some kind of apocalyptic confrontation.
Darwin Game - A story about this guy who plays a game on his iPhone that turns out to be some kind of hardcore real life MMORPG. I like the author for the style even when he's a Touhou fangroup and the art is still very nice. In what seems to be a direct ripoff of Fate Stay Night, the main character specializes in building counterfeit guns (as opposed to counterfeit swords, in the case of Shirou Emiya) and was cornered against some guy wearing some kind of biological armor. In your typical 'hero is about to die' moment, he sees his inner self making more counterfeit guns, and he talks to the gunmaker self saying his guns are no good. The gunmaker stuff says that's because you don't understand the art of making weapons, and although you'd think it'd be something like heart, love, friendship, conviction, or something that is supposed to help him make the ultimate gun, the gunmaker says what he needs is a bigger gun and more ammo. So the guy makes a bigger gun with more ammo and blows away his opponent. This is quite possibly one of the few manga that has a totally sensible way you should approach fighting guys with supernatural powers.
The Seven Deadly Sins - A story about 7 Kenshins clownstomping opposition. The Holy Knights are attempting to take over some kingdom and Princess Elizabeth enlisted the legendary Seven Sins (who are all good guys, despite their name, and the Holy Knights are the bad guys despite their name). Every member of the Seven Sins is stupidly overpowered as even an average member can wipe out all the Holy Knights put together. However the stronger members of the Seven Sins had to pawn their legendary weapon to pay for bills after saving the world so currently they're occasoinally needing more than 5 seconds to defeat their enemy. In the latest chapter, Melodias, leader of the Seven Sins was forced to actually use a sword and instantly killed someone who is probably supposed to be very high on the Holy Knight, and it's explained that Melodias usually uses a hilt with no blade because otherwise he'd accidentally kill everyone in the nearest 10 miles if he used a sword, let alone his legendary sword (which he pawned to get money to start his own restaurant). We also found out that the Holy Knight are attempting to revive the evil gods that were sealed away by the Seven Sins because they're pulling a Richter Belmont moment where the Holy Knights loses their reason to exist if there are no bad guys to fight so they got to break the seal and then fight the evil gods again. Of course the Seven Sins can kill the evil gods with ease (though they probably just regenerate later, because they're gods). Heck, one of the Seven Sins is immortal and he's only about average strength amongst the Seven Sins. All the Seven Sins have crazily overpowered abilities that are normally stuff you should only find on final bosses. Melodias's ability is that he can reflect any ability/spell/technique back at 10 times their original power (Full Counter). His Sin is Anger and I think it's alluded that once he got angry and destroyed an entire kingdom, or something.
I don't know if it's meant to be a satire or not, but it's really funny how the story keeps on try to create a sense of urgency and yet it's always like one of the Seven Sins will be like "These guys are tough, I need to use more than 0.1% of my power now!" and then instantly defeating all opponents.
And The World is Still Beautiful - Some kind of shojo manga about the princess of the kingdom of the rain who has, naturally, the ability to call rain, being married to the Sun King, who has never seen rain before. That's about all I know of it so far because the translation is only on chapter 1 (apparently English version is further along). I normally don't bother with shojo manga, but the story seems interesting so far.
