I thought this was beautifully animated and wanted to share, so I am.

I think I posted this before. Big sister Ilya finally showed how to make use of the style of the master counterfeiter, Shirou Emiya, though it'd have made a lot more sense if she used a sniper rifle but I guess this is magical girl themed after all. Aside from the pirated Excalibur defeating the real thing, this fight actually makes a lot of sense. Graveyard of swords is probably the worst place for Saber to fight in, and Archer girl's massive pirated legendary weapon armory is the best way to deal with Saber who can weapon break any legendary weapon with her Excalibur. Could've shown off Saber's T-1000 like regeneration but I guess they expected people to know she has that ability already.

Yeah people apparently hate this version, but I found the animation great heh.

I saw it on Niconico and I think people didn't like the fact that the pirated Excalibur beat the real thing but what else are you going to do? Typemoon is usually very cheap on animation and they'll just draw some CG generated colored lines and call that a battle, and I think people are mad because if you actually spend money on animation it somehow takes away the purity of the original CG colored lines where you sort of just imagine something actually happened.

Archer versus Saber is like the X versus Zero fight of the Fate universe, and it wasn't delivered until the magical girl spinoff.
