For some reason I thought this was going to be about this fan based 'Naruto part 3' where everyone but Naruto become the Hokage so now he's acting out his revenge along with his sole follower.

I hope Naruto isn't ending, but since they've made Naruto & Sasuke Super Saiyan 3 and basically killed a god, I don't see how you can continue the story, they've cleared up almost every threat the series is known for. Unless Sasuke wants to become the final boss after all, it's probably gonna end.

They can fight aliens. After all it says the infinite tsukuyomi creates an army of soldiers. Why does a technique need to create an army when it already puts the whole world to sleep? Obviously it's for the alien invaders.

Nearly seven hundred chapters. Let it go.

Seriously though, been reading Naruto since my...Sophmore year? of HS, gonna be hard parting with it.

I stopped reading around 260ish. I've started going through it again since I made that post. I remember why I stopped reading... Waiting for chapters to get 1/5 of a character's backstory during a 10+ chapter fight just got monotonous. I'm kind of enjoying it now that I have a 400+ backlog.

The part I'm reading now is pretty terrible though (531 during the beginning of the war). It's chapter after chapter after chapter of battles between characters I don't care about. Even the Kakashi fight was pretty meh.

I thought Naruto at least managed a decent quality for dragging on, and by decent I mean it doesn't make you wonder why you wasted the bandwidth to download it. I mean sure most of the stuff makes no sense but at least it's not downright insulting and at least I can still tell who the characters are.

That's the problem with chain reading, if you're reading it weekly, it's a bit more exciting. :p

Although in Bleach's case, every single chapter feels like it's 2-3 pages long because nothing happens. -_-

Ugh if I hadn't stopped reading when I had I DEFINITELY wouldn't have put up with waiting a week between reading these chapters.

Edit: It was in the hole for 50 or so chapters but once the focus shifted to the actual characters again it picked up.

Yeah? That's a good thing IMO. I'm lovin' the anime right now, I think they've done a great job....when they're not doing filler. But man, it's been over 10 years, it's gotta end at some point. And it should help it go out with a bang.

Mind you, I've only seen the anime and not read the manga, so I don't know what happens after where the anime is right now

15 actually, One Piece is 17 and still going. Hajime no Ippo started in 1989 so it's sitting @ 25. I never like when a manga ends.

I lost History's Strongest Disciple, Claymore and Naruto this year lol.

Like I said, at least it's ending before it went down too far. The anime when not on filler is great, I'd rather see it end on a high note than Bleach on me....

There was no chance of that happening, A manga volume of Bleach = 1 chapter of Naruto, or One Piece...or hell any manga. Bleach's anime was horrid because there straight up wasn't enough content in each chapter of the manga and they had to constantly go to filler, and then involve the filler characters in the main story that didn't exist. Bleach is like

Yeah, Bleach Dragonball-ed for sure. Naruto did filler instead aside from the first two arcs of Shippuuden which did the same inner-ep filler crap that was annoying as shit.

There was a thread on the Chinese board about how the one frame in HXH where Gin punched a guy that looked like a sailor could easily go on for a whole volume if it was Bleach and someone drew up to the third weekly before stopping, and the funny thing is that it totally could've worked.

Bleach's battle system is more about cool points. The actions that happen is just there as a policy to accumulate cool points. For example "Impossible!" is negative 50 cool points for you and people don't get KO until either they go to 0 cool points or your opponent has 100 cool points and it takes a while to accumulate. For example the typical "I wasn't planning to use this move" is at most only +50 cool points, so it takes a while before anyone wins.

Naruto's true antagonist has been revealed finally!

Pictures are broken, but is this this week's manga? Not like they're any different from any other. I saw one post saying all characters in Bleach have the "Will die if I don't explain my ability" disease, a variant of the disease Uesop had that would kill him if he entered an island (or something like that).
