This one is out very soon. The first one was excellent, this one is definitely something to look forward to.
The film is written and directed by James Wan, whose rise to fame came with the violent horror film Saw. Ironically, his more recent success has been due to the low amount of violence in his horror films. The change was to answer the huge amount of negative criticism he had been receiving: largely that his movies were popular due to the gore and violence. He released Insidious; a small budgeted (1.5m) horror film with no violence, and succeeded with a 100 million dollar box office hit. Then with the same philosophy as Insidious, and a higher budget of 20 million, he more than tripled his success with The Conjuring; that one grossed $318 million, and with a largely positive critical response, became by far his most successful horror film to date (He also did Furious 7, which went on to gross 1.5 billion, and is one of the most successful movies of all time).
I'm looking forward to this one. It's out this weekend.
