Sony Pictures announces Wheel of Time TV series

Finally!
I'm really looking forward to this one, I read through the book series last year and enjoyed it quite a bit. This is a long time coming as Fox sat on the license for years, then released a sickeningly terrible clip revolving around the kinslaying and the madness of Lews Therin Telamon. After this, the license was reported to have been acquired by a major studio last winter; over a year of silence, and now here we are.
There are a lot of scenes I would love to see replayed live: Rand's sky battle at the end of the Great Hunt, the vision of the past in Shadow Rising, and the Battle of Dumai's Wells with Rand's escape (So satisfying a scene!) and the "Kneel or be Knelt!" scene from Lord of Chaos, it's been a while since I read a scene that I had to immediately re-read again.
I wonder how they're going to manage all of this. The Wheel of Time is gigantic compared to other fantasy epics, almost all of the books equate to a season-long plot arc.
