The official cause of death hasn't been revealed, nor has any info on the death been released. But her physical health had been declining, and she looked particularly frail over the past year. Like many gen-x musical artists, she suffered a litany of items: bipolar disorder, severe depression, excessive drug and alcohol use, childhood abuse, and a history of suicide attempts.

The cause of death came out a couple of months ago. Accidental.
She drowned in her bathtub while intoxicated; six empty bottles of champagne were found. The autopsy revealed a blood alcohol level of 0.33; comatose levels.
