Apparently he suffered a stroke a week ago. His condition worsened and he passed away earlier today.
Three years ago he became a survivor of colon cancer after tumours were removed while still in their early stages. Otherwise, he was thought to be fairly healthy.
He played an active character on Riverdale. It’s difficult to say how they’ll handle it. Usually when actors die, they don’t try to tie it into existing storylines, even in cases where it fits - as it would with his character.
Anyway, sad day.
