<div style='font: 9pt Arial, Modern; text-align: left; '>Pulp Fiction was nominated for seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen (which it won). It is a genuinely original film. Snatch is not, a fact that no amount of funky camera work or English accents will alter. The only Academy Award it might get nominated for is Best Film Editing.
Don't think for a moment that I don't like Snatch, because I do. But let's not delude ourselves. Snatch was not, is not, and never will be considered on the same level as Pulp Fiction, not by film critics, not by mainstream movie-goers. In six months people will forget about it, just like they forgot about Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. Maybe it will have a good run at the rental store, maybe not. One thing's for sure; it's not haute cuisine, and it won't ever achieve the legendary status of Pulp Fiction. Or, for that matter, Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.</div>
