Okay, is it worth the $70 or more dollars to buy the DVD collection of The Sopranos' first season? Is it on par with The Godfather, Goodfellas, Casino, Scarface, Miller's Crossing?

<div style='font: 12pt Modern; text-align: left; '>You can't really compare The Sopranos to those movies since it's waay longer due to the fact that it's a TV series, not a movie. Also, it has a different focus that separates it from the others...
So I don't think it's really right to compare it to something like Godfather or Goodfellas. It's not exactly in the same vein of mafia films as those movies...
When you see the show, you'll see that Tony's family is by and large shielded from the mob and it focuses as much on them as on the mob side. It's definitely good and to me, worth the purchas.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt Arial, Modern; text-align: left; '>If you're a fan of the show, $65 for a full season is a phenominal value. It's rare enough to get a live-action series released in full, anyhow (and when they have, they'd usually make you buy ten separate volumes per season, for high-ass prices).</div>
