This went on sale this week for an April 19th release and looks to be more of the same which certainly isn't a bad thing. The first game had a fairly traumatizing ending so I'm definitely looking forward to more especially since the consequences of chosen actions fairly commonly resulted in death/wildly different results. I'm hoping it isn't going to be another disappointment in the regard of "Your choices matter!" games with sequels, but even if it is it's still something I'm looking forward to.

Still no real trailer so the Dec 2014 announcement trailer is the best I can do - obviously that 2015 goal at the end of it was a total mistake lol

My heart says "Day One!" but my head says "wait a week, read impressions first."
Really liked the first (think I got it on sale for $10), but interested to see what's new and different about this one before taking the plunge and there hasn't been much info out there.

There's a proper launch trailer now and there isn't a whole lot that wasn't on the announcement trailer, but there's a new voice over so there's that at least. There's also a nice dev quote out there about how they heard that people were finding the combat tiresome and same-y in the original so they addressed that:

The combat boards are all going to be hand touched. They’re going to be scripted to really follow the narrative so it’s never going to be this situation where I’m just on a blank board with random spawners

I forgot how fucking brutal this game was. I'll get back to this thread with more impressions after I manage to do the first non-tutorial fight with no one dying lol

The game is getting reviewed well, at least by PC Gamer (86)
