  • Anyone played Serious Sam yet? Really, really fun, and the kamikaze bombers are the funniest FPS enemies I've seen in years. (aaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHhhhhhh *boom*)

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

<div style='font: 10pt "Copperplate Gothic", Modern; text-align: left; '>No, but at its unusally low price it's tempting to pick up. And if my PC were good enough to run anything new (Tribes 2 bombed horribly so I returned it).</div>

<div style='font: 9pt Modern; text-align: left; '>Tribes 2 runs great on my 400mhz with 98 megs of ram and a 32mb GeForce 2mx.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt Arial, Modern; text-align: left; '>And it still runs great once you are connected? I'd love to get this game, but I think it would suck on a 56k modem... (basically I get 28.8kbps)</div>

<div style='font: 9pt arial, Modern; text-align: left; '>You can play most mods pretty well on a 56K...stay away from ultra renegades though.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt arial, Modern; text-align: left; '>Yeah, I'm not anticipating much considering i get about 5 fps max on Tribes 1</div>

<div style='font: 9pt Modern; text-align: left; '>Not sure, but I've been reading that alot. Powerful PC's are having trouble running Tribes 2. My advice wait for some patches.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt arial, Modern; text-align: left; '>I hear you need either a GeForce or an Nvidia for it not to look like crap</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "Copperplate Gothic", Modern; text-align: left; '>My PC's not powerful, it's just supposedly stronger than yours. I know where its weaknesses lie, but I can't do anything about them right now.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt Arial, Modern; text-align: justify; padding: 0% 8% 0% 8%; '>I have a brand-new out-of-several-boxes "custom"-assembled (read: I chose the components) 1.1Ghz 128MbDDR system with a 32MB Radeon. Tribes 2 runs like a dream in 1024x768 (probably around 45 or 50 fps). But I have a 56K dialup connection. However, I played about three hours last night, and I can only remember seeing one flickery lag-jump teleport. Generally, a bad connection will kill a fast computer just as well as a slow one, so I'd say my fast computer had nothing to do with the good connection. 56K is probably fine...just pick a server with a fast ping.</div>
