Well, I just did a 10 pull and drew two of Seph's SSB weapon, so I am really set now ^_^

I also took Luneth's weapon off of the beginners pull to get Advance, will be changing my share to that.

Yeah, that was a crazy amount of luck there. And I had the gil and materials to combine and max level it already ^_^

I have yet to clear a boss rush, so if I can clear this one it will be my first. Between a 7* buster sword and Seph's new 6* SSB weapon, plus a 6* hairpin for Red, I think I can get it.

Just fyi - these were especially easy bonus battles. Once you complete it (and u will being way better equipped than me), give Shadows bonus battles a shot. A bit harder, especially the +++.

If these are easy then I must be doing something wrong. I got through the boss rush ok, which I had never pulled off before, but the ++ I barely cleared and only got an expert rating. Not planning to even try the +++. I really want to get caught up on the story missions some and get Luneth's memory crystal, but I failed to unlock elite on my first run through.

Probably just approaching the fight incorrectly. Ill layout the old retaliate strategy.

++
- have reno and seph obviously
- bring sentinels grimoire as your RW
- load up seph with retaliate and armor break/down.
- load protega on someone.
- load double cut, double hit, tempo on everyone else.
- try to fit in a boost (or similar) to buff seph.
- do NOT damage anyone but the main guy (hit him with any damage at the start of the fight)
- retaliate, break, repeat to any easy win.

You have the gear to do it lots of ways, but that strat will give you the easy clear.

I have used it, it just never seems to work as well for me for some reason. I just tried using it on the FFIV 110 for the new event, and while I cleared it, even using Sentinels Grimoire, I still barely got through. I think my big problem is that I am so far behind in leveling characters. I am pretty sure I usually only have one or two characters that are leveled that have realm synergy, and very little gear that has it for most games. I am way behind on classic dungeons, to the point where I just unlocked the elite that got you Luneth's memory crystal and got it. My stamina count is 91. I just have a lot of catching up to do and a lot of characters to level for synergy.

No idea why it doesnt work...reta is only ever really tough if you lack gear synergy (which you had boat loads of). This latest event (ffv), I have zero synergy and made it to the +++ ...but getting stomped now. Too lazy to figure out a strat that will work there without gear.

VII is the only game I do have good synergy for though. I just lack good hones and good SB's to use I think. I have about 10-12 characters at 65, and maybe a dozen more above 50. Now that I am getting a couple major growth eggs each event I am starting to be able to level that event's characters as they come out, but I have a huge backlog of characters still sitting at level 1, as I have never failed to get a character from an event. I also don't have any 5* abilities yet (working on full break) and really lack in 4* abilities/hones. I have all the breakdowns, but only at R1, Ruinga at R2, and Protectga/Shellga at R2, as well as some other R1 4* abilities that I have earned from the events. I have yet to craft any of the -aga strikes that have come out, or any -ja magic, due to lack of orbs. I can probably get a few of the -aja base black magic spells at R1 at this point, but wouldn't be able to hone them up to enough uses to make it worth replacing my R4 -aga spells with them.

It doesnt sound all that different to me...no real 5's (except full break at r2 but thats new). Hell, i dont even bother with the breakdowns, since my breaks are at r4 and I havent seen a point. Havent bothered with strikes or spells at 4*, some minor exceptions aside (ruinga r3, darkmoon r3).

Hell, if anything, you sound ahead of me. My typical loadout will include the following:

Curaga r5, prot/shell r2, magic/armor/power break, double cut r4, tempo r4, boost r4, retaliate r5.

Rw: boon, stoneskin or sent typically.

Rm: self sacrifice on my reta, double hit on my mage, mako or concentration on my healer.

So ya...i cant see any reason you wouldnt be out performing me. I have also been lazy with my mage hones. Keep attempting the + stuff...maybe its just something that will click for you.

I don't know why it seems to not work well for me then. I know most of the guys on the other forum I post on use Advance as the RM, and bring another form of mitigation as a regular SB, but that has never worked for me either. I can DO it, but it's never particularly pretty.

*laughs* I had to do 3 11 pulls and 2 3 pulls to get that! I did also manage to get Agrias's SSB and Ramza's regular SB, but it was the last 3 pull that I managed to get the shout. Still I'm hurting, I am lucky enough to have Boon and Sentinals Grimoire, but I have no natural AOE heal right now, which sucks.

I can finally field almost a full team for each game with synergy though. I am trying to save up MPO's in order to hone Full Break to R2.

Ive been skunked for like the last 500 mith (and the 100 x1 pull)....this run of bad luck has me pretty bummed. And this latest cave of fire event has Ifriti wtfpwn'ing me.....

Losing interest and SW HEROES is getting my attention more (tho that game is as cash grabby as it gets).

I haven't had any give amount of luck in pulls lately myself. Ifrit destroyed me as well. I would actually be in pretty good shape of I could just get a good group heal SB. The best I have are the weak shared ones and Arc's SSB that gives shell and major regen.

I did finally beat it - but it came down to pure luck. I cant really see how it is doable without SG.

FINALLY! I pulled on the healing relics banner and drew both Minwu and Penello's SSB's! I finally have a natural trinity! (Shout+SG+Medica) With this I feel a lot more confident in trying to break into the 140 and 160 level content.

Man, Firion's BSB is so OP in Multiplayer. It takes a bit to get going, but twords the end I was doing 8 hits a turn for just shy of 2k damage a hit. It was crazy.

Can't say I've played an event or anything for months (including the new multiplayer). Just log in once a day to collect mith/etc. I'll get back to it I am sure.

The raids are actually REALLY fun, but you need to have some time for it, it takes the better part of 20 minutes to defeat the 200 boss.
