We haven't updated this in a while, figured I'd start a thread of the ones I like:

Zelda Outlands / Quest for Calatia: http://www.questforcalatia.net/

Outlands is done (you can actually buy the carts on Ebay when they offered to make them a while back), Calatia is in progress

Another Metroid 2 Remake (AM2R): http://metroid2remake.blogspot.ca/

Remake of Metroid 2 using the Zero Mission engine. Looks amazing and you can get a demo to try

Those are the only ones I'm following now as most of them are either done (Mother 3) or got retail release (Dust).

You guys been following any?

Oooo, another Mega Man X, huh? The PSP remake was incredible. I'm there....

Yeah, I followed Mother 3 for what, 2-3 years before they released it and it was just a translation. AM2R has been going on for at least 3 years. Nerds with hobbies, it takes a while :-)

Nothin' wrong with more Mega Man! Mighty No 9 is gonna be just the start.

The other one that'll be released around the same time that I can't wait for is AM2R. Man I hope he eventually gets this out

So the guy making this game moved from a simple ROM hack to building the game from the ground up. Here's his latest video update.

I'm not 100% sure but I think he's doing semi-open world like the Z/ZX series did.

It's also not a hacked rom anymore, but a full-on game, not held back by emulation.

He's released a few more videos lately =D

Sky Stage! (that music thou!)

Old Highway

New Highway(rain!)

I have been following AM2R for a long time, and it is really coming along, he is making some great progress and the game plays incredibly well.

The one other one I am following is Mega Man Battle Network Chrono X - it's looking solid if you are a fan of the MMBN series.
