  • Nvidia Shield released

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

Anyone interested in getting one? $300 for an Android device, imbedded into a controller with a screen, that can also stream (certian, still looking for details) PC titles from your PC to this device (real time play).

Sounds like a neat toy.

I had a phone, once, that was Android and had a controller.

While it was actually a great phone and super fast, there just arent that many games optimized for a controller on the Android market. I downloaded like 5 or 6 and that was fun for a while, but i dont think i'll buy another android portable device.

Looks neat but I'd still rather get a 3DS if I was going for handheld gaming.

Pretty bulky for mobile, no?

I thought that at initial first glance, but seems the form factor and feel of an Xbox controller was one of the big reqirements for this thing.

Again, i dont think its a hardware issue, but just the games available on Android at the moment.

Hell, even when i browse for just cell phone games most of them are big yawners nowadays. Its all endless run, tetris type puzzle, and click fests like Farmville/Simpsons.

Items like these are cool, and hopefully it will chip away at Nintendo's near monopoly. This stuff really needs to be combined into one unit. It just seems like it's going to be a slow process.
