Look, I'm sure they totally ripped this off, but what kind of argument are they going to make? "We got something that mentions fire that does damage, so do they". I'm guessing some of the art assets are similar but there's only so many way you can draw a Fire Elemental.
I checked some video and the music is totally the same, but I don't think the Chinese even cares about that so far as copyright infringement goes.

You can't really "rip off" characters from Romance of the Three Kingdoms because they are historical. As historical characters, they're open source.
Also, isn't Hearthstone itself just a ripoff of Scrolls? I am not overly familiar with either personally.

Er, the game is identical to Hearthstone, in every single way, like the spells and effects, minions, everything. The only thing different is that it uses Romance characters instead of Warcraft characters.

That'd be pretty different by Chinese standards. I mean, I've seen ads there for Diablo 5 before Diablo 3 was out.

You always play devil's advocate for Chinese piracy lol.

I'm not a supporter of piracy, but if people are legimately selling Diablo 5 in China, I just see no way you could possibly win over something like this. I'm pretty sure China flat out doesn't recognize most western IPs. I once saw a page on some rather egregious violations like StarDucks Coffee and so on that you can see in China.
