Not that great, IMO. I'm only honestly interested in Typing of the Dead and only because I adored the Dreamcast one

I wanted to get Typing of the Dead but when I found out Magician isn't in it I figured it's not worth it.

I've been waiting for Typing to get to a decent price and this was a good opportunity.

Also Alpha Protocol is a lot of fun, you should give it a try.

I think House of the Dead just isn't the same without the iconic Magician though.

Maybe but I just don't know the games well enough to know who that is. :D

It sucks that the games are bundled all together so if you use up the code for, say, Typing of the Dead you're claiming the Steam keys for half the games.

Edit: This game is totally ridiculous in both good and bad ways. But I like it more than I dislike it so I'll get through it.

Magician is the slayer of quarters back when arcades still existed. I remember House of the Dead was $1 per play and Magician can kill you in like... 10 seconds if you sucked at the game, like I did.

I thought he was the boss in the Dreamcast version. Did they take him out of the PC version?

Magician is in House of the Dead 1, 2, and 4. He's not in the Typing of the Dead Overkill at all. It's not a game based on the same universe where all the boss names are based on the tarot cards.

Who did you fight at the end of Typing of the Dead on Dreamcast?

Typing of the Dead is based on House of the Dead 2 if I recall, and the final boss is The Emperor. Magician is the boss before him.

Magician is the super fast guy that throws fireball while teleporting around the screen. Back in the arcades, I never figured out that his weak point is where he's not wearing armor, even though it makes total sense.

I assume you're talking about this game here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAvA2lmeJe0

Yep, that teleporting motherfucker was the guy at the end of Typing of the Dead. He was impossible on hard. Got incredibly close multiple times, finally had to give up and beat it on Normal
