It came out this week, already severely addicted =)

The game is essentially the same as part 1, with about 4X the content and enhancements in the gameplay. There's also more gameplay modes, and the single player campaign mode is much more interesting than the first. Instead of just 4 sections, there is a map where you travel along a road and take the challenges presented. It's more interesting, and just all around much more fun.

I attempted online, fought one person about 7 times, and she beat the royal shit out of me repeatedly. I'm still early on, there's just WAY more stuff in this game than the last. Too much to go over right now.

I am likewise greatly enjoying the game. Already picked up the first batch of DLC as well, I had to have Crazy Chocobo.

The one thing I have noticed though, and maybe you see it too, is that on FMS stages, it feels like the parts where you have to slide up and down don't feel quite the same. I don't know, it feels like it's not quite moving the way I expect it to, and I am having trouble keeping up with them, no matter how much I am paying attention. I never had problems with them in the first game.

Also maybe it's just rust but it also feels faster/harder on ultimate scores than it did in the first game. I'm playing through everything on expert for now, but I was at a point where I only had 4 or 5 songs that I hadn't cleared on Ultimate in the first game, and I'm really struggling with it right now.

I got the FF8 card battle song along with the free DLC. I might buy more later. I noticed that Liberi Fatali and Eyes on Me were missing. They squeeze two more dollars out of me easy on those two tunes.

For anyone wondering, To Zanarkand and Search for Friends are present for free.
