Anyone else pick this up?

I honestly didn't even know it was coming out. Picked it up last week and I've actually been having a blast with it so far.

It has a ton of things to do, tons of playable characters, and many ways to power them up. Should keep me busy for quite a while.

Combat is very easy for the most part, but the objectives are where I find the challenge lies. Play it on hard. Just do it.

I feel like when Black Friday/Cyber Monday rolls around I will finally pick up a Wii U for Mario Kart, Smash, and Hyrule Warriors.

Looked like another Dynasty Warriors game to me, if you've played one you've basically played them all, they get old real quick because you're basically slaughtering brain dead enemies that just sit there, and the occasional "general" that might or might not fight back depending on how well you juggle them before they die horribly.

Crazy popular genre in Japan though, wasn't surprised to see Nintendo let it happen.

I want it, but not now, and if I hold off long enough I may be able to avoid the full price. I am a little overloaded with games right now, even with the Harvest Moon Minecraft clone delayed.

Fantasy Life (3DS), Beyond Earth (PC) and Bayonetta (WiiU) are out tommorow.

Based on the title, I think that's the point :)

I haven't played Dynasty Warriors since #2 on the PS2. Not sure if the newer ones have so much character building and powering up via weapons, skills, etc.

I also like the Adventure mode that uses the 8-bit graphics for the map, where its basically a glorified grind mode, that lets you get powerups and new characters that you can't via "legend" (story) mode.

Do yourself a favour and get Mario 3D World and New Super Mario Wii U, they're amazing. Heck, pick up the Wii U package that has both of those in it.

And I can't wait for you to try Mario Kart 8, it truly is a next-gen Mario Kart. Easily the best one IMO and I adored Double Dash and DS.
