For those of you who still play MPQ, Thor (Goddess of Thunder) was nerfed and now I'm seeing a lot of posts made by what I'm quite sure are bunch of guys saying that this is a slap in the face in woman's rights because she was the first top tier female character in the game. And I thought I've heard of everything regarding nerfs! That's like saying nerfing Chun Li in Street Fighter is sexist. Wait, did something like that ever happen? Eric?

As an aside, I always found this 'Thor must be a title' deal to be pretty stupid. It's up there with King Arthur being a girl in Fate Stay Night and I can at least kind of get why they did that because Fate is meant to be porn and there aren't enough big name legendary heroines, but I don't know why Marvel went that way. I don't even have very strong feelings for Marvel stuff in general, but Thor not being a guy just seems... wrong...

I can safely say no! Many female fighting characters have held high spots in the tiers and never been touched! Chun-Li in 3rd Strike, Queen B in Darkstalkers, Morrigan in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3! Additionally they have been nerfed Chun-Li is awful in SFIV and it's never been a sexist thing.

Poison has however raised a social debate from time to time, Ono even gave her higher stamina then every other female in the game(No female tax, zing!)

Come to think of it, virtually every MMORPG I know of has male/female with identical stats, even though I think female characters should have a stat handicap to offset their increased ability to get loot! I remember one game in China requires you to send in verification that you're indeed female for creating a female avatar.

It's also pointed out to me that this travesty occurred in March, the women's history month!

In order for Chun Li to be strong, she has to transform into a man.

Hmmm, on the same forum I just saw a post about how Star-Lord's power buffs all colors but black and is clearly racist, and I don't think these guys are trying to be funny. At least, I sure can't tell if it's supposed to be funny.
