I've been reading a bunch of Mario articles lately, its interesting to hear the insight that went into these games.

Lad a gamer, Super Mario Bros and Super Mario Bros 3 are two of the most standout memories I've ever had in regards to games.
SMB3, while a Platformer at its core, is also one heck of an adventure, particularly playing from start to finish without warping.
I particularly love the franchise for being able to successfully reinvent itself as frequently as it does. SMB1, 3, 64, and Galaxy. At the same time, even those that weren't big reinventions tended to be top notch games, especially World and Galaxy 2 which are in themselves two of the greatest games of all time.
