Sooo, anyone else going to be picking this game up at the end of the month?

Besides the exceptionally stupid title name, really looking forward to this game. Since Xenoblade Chronicles X, I've been craving more JRPG goodness.

Looks pretty. If I get a PS4 I might pick this one up.

I've been a sucker for the series since Star Ocean: The Second Story for the PSX.

Now, I put WAY WAY more time into The Second Story than I have any other Star Ocean game, but I still got quite a bit of enjoyment out of each iteration since. I'm also a crafting whore, which these games cater to quite nicely :)

I told a friend who was really into that game (the first one I think) that I was thinking about picking it up. He advised against it unless I wanted to have no life (game really sucks you in :) ) . I never did pick it up.

If you still have the itch, I'd still suggest picking up and playing The Second Story. Such a good game.

I played The Second Story a lot but couldn't quite get into all the other ones.

Yep, preordered for that Valkyrie Profile battle theme bonus :P

Star Ocean combat has always been solid, I just wish the character face designs weren't god awful terrible since the shift to 3D.

Star Ocean: Integrity and...ummm, whatever

I am fairly certainly I will only moderately enjoy this game (based on previous games) but I didn't realize it was coming out so soon (28th). SO is always good to kill 100 hours or so, so why not.

I am gonna link to a fairly boring (unedited) video below, but it will show the gameplay in depth if you were considering picking it up. Speaking of that...even the PSN trailer video of Star Ocean is terrible.

Not that highest review scores. Still gonna pick it up, but I wasn't expecting Tokyo Mirage Sessions to be so good(or out at the same time).

Is TMS that good? It's unexpected presence on my radar throws my gaming plan off for the next few months :p

Looks like this only available on the PS Network in Japan. Maybe they'll release it on the US store. I guess I could track down the original PS1 game.

Do you like Persona? Think Persona, with very very light Fire Emblem elements, officially it's a Fire Emblem x Shin Megami Tensei cross over, but the Fire Emblem elements are a lot lighter, and the cast, setting, plot makes it lean/feel far more Persona then the other Shin Megami Tensei series since they split after Persona 4 and the 2 Persona fighting games.

If I had one complaint it's that the localization kinda went through the ringer due to Nintendo fearing SJW backlash and a great deal of the in-battle combat isn't subbed(There is no English audio option).

Other then that the game is fucking solid, enjoying my playthrough atm. :)

Well, got my copy. So far, music is what you would expect. The graphics are ok, but nothing spectacular - very impressed with how smoothly the game pans, however.

Battle is quick, not complicated (yet), easy to get into.

Onto the cliche "request more troops from the king!" quest.

And biggest issue so far: the word "signeturgy" :p
