In case the title wasn't enough. This thread is intended to be open to all spoilers from Xenogears, Xenosaga, and Xenoblade (particularly XCX). If you don't want the endings of any of these games spoiled, then best not read this thread yet.
All three storylines have contradicting elements, but they also have a lot of similar elements. Enough that it may be possible to predict how the story goes. For the purpose of this, I am also including Perfect Works as a part of Xenogears, although I do know a lot of the timeline was determined AFTER the completion of the game - and was more or less a rough blueprint for Xenosaga, which again, changed significantly from that point.
Some massive differences: Perfect Works - Earth is destroyed in 2500 AD rather than 2054. In Xenosaga, humanity was the only spacefaring race by the da\tes of the game (about 7200 AD), similar to Asimov. Xenosaga the Zohar was discovered sometime after 2010, in Xenogears it was 2001. In Xenogears Abel was a survivor on a huge colonial ship with 1.3 million passengers - in Xenosaga, he was a component of a super weapon, and the ark was a Gnosis-like entity made for Abel. Etc...
I am going to piece together a timeline which uses elements from all three stories, and predicts elements by cross referencing the three games. So much of this timeline is based on deduction and mashing stuff together.
I am going to prioritize Xenoblade, then Xenogears, then Xenosaga in terms of their contradictions. EXCEPT in terminology, I will default to Xenogears; So Skells/Aegs = Gears.
1. 13.7 billion years ago - The Samaar, an extra-dimensional race, enter the physical universe at the dawn of existence; presumably, they were the creators of the Universe, the Gods. They begin seeding the universe with artificial lifeforms and technology.
2. 3.9 billion years ago - The Samaarians civilization has come to an end. Their legacy is placed in a failsafe device device called the Zohar which crashlands Earth. The device seeds Earth with Samaarian DNA that forms and evolves into the successors of the Samaarians; life on Earth, and humans.
3. 2001 - The Zohar is uncovered on Earth by Japanese archaeologist Dr. T. Masuda at Lake Turkana, Kenya.
4. 2024 - The activation of the Zohar attracts the attention of alien powers, who will discover that Earth is the home of the legacy of the Samaar. The Ganglion, at least, want to exterminate all Earthling life, it is dangerous to them as it can form a weapon capable of destroying them. Elma arrives on Earth, her objective is to make sure Earth life survives.
5. 2024 to 2054 - Earth technology rapidly advances with the goal of creating Arks to colonize the Galaxy. The Arks contain data massive databanks with the information required to sequence DNA strands to create of Earth's lifeforms, including human bodies. Each Ark also contains the consciousnesses of 20 million humans. The Kadamony System, aboard each Ark, contains large amounts of amniotic fluid, which sequences Earth DNA to give birth to bodies for the Terran lifeforms; including bodies to house the consciousnesses of the 20 million humans. Realians are developed to house human consciousness, and act as their bodies, until the time that their fleshy bodies can be resurrected. While components of the Gears (such as weapons) utilize fuel, the actual source of energy for the Realians and the standard movement of the Gears is separate, located in a Zohar Emulator. 6. July 2054 - Several alien forces arrive and begin doing battle all around the Earth. One of them is the Ganglion ruled Federation, which also utilizes Gears in battle. The other is an unknown alien force resembling the Gnosis. and a huge battle takes place around Earth between an unknown alien force that resembles Gnosis, and the Federation look like Ganglion Gears. A massive unknown weapon detonates destroying both fleets and blows Earth to bits. It is assumed the Ganglion detonated it, but it seems a power far greater than they are capable of later on.
7. Following months - Earth Ark ships, each armed with a Kadamony device, and the data of 20 million humans each, travel across the Milkyway Galaxy. At least two ships survived the battle, one landed on Mira, and another landed elsewhere. It is possible the land on Mira is larger than the area the player can currently access; but the second ship could have landed on one of the surrounding planets.
8. 2056? - After the kadamony system goes out of control, it begins forming monstrous weapons, and it is discovered that human DNA is toxic to the Ganglion and other races of the Federation. The Ganglion are defeated. Elma reveals herself to be an alien of extreme knowledge and skill, Lao is reborn as a human from the Kadamony system.
ONE POSSIBLE FUTURE:
This assumes that Mira is the beginning of the Earth fleet (Note, still largely in the works, I have to go out, I will edit and finish later. Lots of this is placeholder and could change).
9. 2070 - Earth is renamed Lost Jerusalem. One of the planets in the Mira system is named New Jerusalem.
10. 2054 to 6000 - Humanity expands across the galaxy, and becomes a powerful force.
11. 6797 - The Zohar is rediscovered.
12. 6805 - Project Zohar begins. The goal is the construction of the Deus super-weapon, which would be valuable for the humans in eliminating their intergalactic enemies.
13. 6806 - Intergalactic war breaks out.
14. 6819 - The Deus weapon activates and an entire planet is destroyed accidentally.
15. 6824 - The latest Kadamony, the Zohar, and the Deus Weapon (as it came to be called) is loaded aboard a colony ship - The Eldridge, when it crashlands on a planet, the Zohar is lost.
