Save your money. At least for now.
Sometimes I scratch my head when I read Steam reviews. Are people just stupid or has steam cultivated a user base with extraordinarily low expectations?
Conan Exiles is extremely slim on content, which I can understand from an Early Access title. The problem is what is there doesn't look like it will be especially fun even when polished and expanded. All the fan excitement seems based on wishful thinking. Combat is very rudimentary, on par with low budget survival/crafting games and the crafting/building is serviceable at best. Conan seems to be trading on a singular aspect (PVP) being eventually fun, but given how blah the single player/PVE game looks to be, that seems like a losing bet...but who knows.
If I didn't know better, I'd say people are excited about this game simply due to some nudity and slaves (thralls).... go download some BDSM porn instead. It's free.
If you are into this genre -- go for 7 days to die (PC) or any of the other dozens of more established games.
