<div style='font: 12pt Modern; text-align: left; '>Having played the Japanese version, X5 fails to bring anything special to the series, even though it's been rumored to end the series. If it is indeed the last X game, it ends in a very unspectcular way.

What I don't like:

No voice acting and no FMV. I thought those two elements was what made X4 really different from the rest.

Unlike X4 where they expanded the universe to be more than Zero and X's show, X5 is back to the same old stuff.

No cute female reploids. The strange thing was that on the character design for Aelia it was something like "Yeah we realized from X4 that people wanted to see cute female characters, so we designed Aelia." Except she's not cute, and functions as a Roll Caskett/Una (Legends 2) wannabe. Voice acting would've definitely helped here. It really doesn't work when you go to some place and you see this transmission like "Zero, there's a pit in front, you should jump on the cables to get through!" No kidding. She annoys me more than anything else because none of what she said is remotely useful but you'll have to scroll through her tip on how to shoot enemy or something, and sometimes she can even screw you up when a transmission comes while you're, say, trying to make a long jump only to freeze in mid air because she decided to tell you there'ps a long pit coming up.

There are some annoying death trap stages. With all due respect to the good old lasers of death on Megaman 2 Quickman's stage, this is something the series could do without (after about 30 continues I was finally able to get through that part without the Timestopper). Tidal Whale is extremely hard to defeat on the 2nd time because he's level 96 (as all bosses are at that point) and will get at least 3 chances to blow you into spikes as opposed to 0 when you fight him the first time, and if you bring X with Gaia Armor to get around that, X can't make the final jump to the room of the last boss in Gaia Armor! Well, you could, you'd have to be standing as far to the edge of the last platform as possible and jump as far as you can, and then you'll barely land about 1 pixel above the bottom of the screen. The 2nd fight against the 8 robot masters is extremely time consuming if you don't have at least the Black Zero or Ultimate Armor (Gaia Armor works them fine, but you will need to continue about 30 times to make the last jump while in Gaia Armor).

Also, some powerup paths makes the game ridiculously easy. Always charge for X, Z Saber powerup for Zero comes in mind.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "Arial bold", Modern; text-align: left; '>I ususally charge while I'm running the whole time with X. Always did. Well, I'll tell you what I think when I get it. You're the first one that has said anything negative about it that I've read. I'll keep an eye out for that stuff</div>

Well, it plays like any other Megaman game, but consider X4 actually made an effort to be different

<div style='font: 12pt Modern; text-align: left; '>I was hoping what X4 did, focus a bit more on story rather than the same old stuff.

The difficulty is just a little out of whack sometimes too.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt arial, Modern; text-align: justify; '>Really easy, or really difficult? Or ridiculous fluctuations? When I played it at E3 it seemed just way too easy, so I'm a tad curious.

<div style='font: 11pt Modern; text-align: left; '>X5 is the hardest Megaman game I've played in a while, the bosses weren't difficult, save that damn blob....</div>

Some of the stages are nasty

<div style='font: 12pt Modern; text-align: left; '>Like the bike section of Kraken's stage where you've 15 ways to fall off without even realizing what's going on, or the classic lasers of death ala Megaman 2 Quickman stage. Tidal Whale can be annoying since he blows you into spikes, which is of course instant death unless you've Gaia Armor (which you definitely won't have the first time).

But otherwise it's a pretty easy game. The bosses are especially easy at the beginning since they start out at level 2 or so as opposed to level 96 (the 2nd time, which is still easy, minus Tidal Whale's cheesy blow-you-into-spike thing). Though enemies do take a lot of punishment and will probably hit you a few times. That's okay on normal, but on hard it can actually be a factor, especially the Sigma looking guys in mech suits, those guys take forever to kill and you really can't run past them without taking some damage.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt Arial, Modern; text-align: left; '>I dunno why everyone says the bike part was hard. Getting all of those little gems was easy after the fourth try or so.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt Arial, Modern; text-align: left; '>Well, some of the gameplay part was expanded. And besides, X4/X5 are insanely similar just like how X2/X3 were.</div>
