<div style='font: 12pt Modern; text-align: left; '>I'm running Gemfire on the newest version of SNES9x. Whenever a computer attacks a computer the music would stop, and whenever I actually get into a battle the game would just crash. Anyone know what may be the problem? I tried turning sound off but that didn't work... I recalled the Gemfire used to run on SNES9x...</div>

<div style='font: 12pt Modern; text-align: left; '>Might be a bad ROM. Like Lotus said, I'd try ZSNES, even if it isn't supposed to work. Unless, of course you know from personal experience that ZSNES can't handle Gemfire.
Chances are, it's either a bad ROM, emulators can't handle that game yet, or recent updates to emus have made it incompatible. I'd suggest either trying to find another download (unless you're 99.99% sure it's a good ROM), trying older emulator versions (or simply other emulators), or, all else failing, waiting for the next snes9x/zsnes release.</div>
