<div style='font: 9pt arial, Modern; text-align: left; '>So what happens if Nintendo goes into the software-only market like Sega and both publish for XBox? That'd be nifty.</div>
They still have gameboy.

OMG!!! What an idiot?!?!?!?!?! I bet I could do everything he did for Nintendo (*note* extreme sarcasm).

<div style='font: 14pt Modern; text-align: left; '>Seriously he has a good point. What hype has Nintendo done since Spaceworld 2000. Absolutely nothing..., what has everything they said, been building up to?? E3. If the GC bombs on the showfloor..(as in 5th place behind the gba+pc+ps2+xbox), then what is the point of releasing it to an audience who won't respond to it. E3 is integral to their strategy as the system is coming out in September in Japan, so they need a good show to start the hype wagon at this event. Because, if the system is delayed past this year, they have lost the war before they put their entry in, and no use putting something out which will fail.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt Arial, Modern; text-align: left; '>Nintendo has always done well in trade shows, especially when showcasing a new console. I'm guessing it's just a bluff to make people work harder.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt Arial, Modern; text-align: left; '>Well, wouldn't they be on the PS2 also? It would make things interesting...</div>
That may be the situation, but saying something like that is still a bad move

<div style='font: 12pt Modern; text-align: left; '>I think that's bad translation, it might just be a statement of his confidence in the success of the system in some weird evil Yamauchi humor</div>

<div style='font: 12pt Arial, Modern; text-align: left; '>If they did somehow go software-only, that would be their main system of choice (for many financial reasons). But Nintendo's too rich to exit the hardware game.</div>
