Smash U allows 8 player local multiplayer

There was a Nintendo Direct last night which detailed the interface options, and also detailed 51 other new features.

In an eight-player battle, the following controllers can be used:

○Wii U GamePad (Max 1)
○Wii Remote or Wii Remote Plus (Max 7)
○Wii U Pro Controller (Max 7)
○Nintendo GameCube controller (Max 8.)
○Nintendo 3DS series system (Max 8.)

This mode may not be recommended for people who already lost their characters in 4 player multiplayer matches...
