He claims to want to raise thirty billion dollars via Kickstarter to build a pipeline from Seattle to California to end the drought.

Considering that the biggest Kickstarter so far was $81m for Star Citizen, and that's about 1/250th of what he needs, something tells me it won't work; plus Seattle doesn't sound too happy about it.

I think the right play would be to do a fifty MILLION dollar Kickstarter to build two experimental solar desalination plants on the coast, then bring it to Brown's desk; but Kirk will be Kirk, I guess.

I would too; I just went on Twitter to ask him to run it as a $50m, native-to-California project.

In the era of social media, I feel like just talking about the project helps it.

For instance - if he raises $50m, he could build:

2x$20m solar desalination plants + lobbying program to allocate state funds for more - http://www.businessinsider.com/mit-inve ... ion-2015-4
$10m for lobbying for a California state program mandating that rice growers switch to a different crop - http://www.alternet.org/cows-rice-field ... nias-water

Speaking of bringing water...this actually brought water to the corners of my eyes.

Damn, this could actually, really happen. That's terrifying.
