Not really. Planeswalkers don't work the same way creatures do, in-game or in the lore. You can't really compare a planeswalker to a creature using just the numbers. A planeswalker can dominate entire fields of armies...*with* enough time...in-game, and probably in the lore too, given enough time. But they're vulnerable on their own.
As for "hallucinating"...the Eldrazi warp reality. Being on the same plane as one when they emerge basically is the equivalent of a nightmare acid trip, except that it doesn't end. You might want to look into the background a bit, certainly more than just the weekly story updates. The Oath of the Gatewatch is Chandra, Jace, Nissa, and Gideon teaming up to watch the Sea Gate in Zendikar to be ready when Kozilek bursts out of it, so the entire plane isn't destroyed. (The latest weekly story update seems to revolve around just that happening, in fact.)
The larger lore right now involves around a conflict between Jace and Ugin as to whether or not the Eldrazi should be hedron-contained as they once were, or destroyed. It's actually reasonably compelling.
But the game itself is really what I'm concerned with. I was hoping others might still be playing, but Flip hasn't been here for months.
