I was hoping a game can be banned for having no redeeming value whatsoever, but I guess this will do. I'm still not sure how Ultra Despair Girls which is a game about molesting children didn't get banned (was Adult Only) in countries outside of Japan. The weird thing is that I find the violence in the DR stuff to be almost funny since it doesn't even have red blood and looks pretty tame compared to even the earliest Mortal Kombat, but apparently the Japanese think this is totally hardcore or something that it might turn you into a murderer like Jack Thompson warned 10 years ago. Well, people actually play Grand Theft Auto too, so at least he's got a reason to be concerned compared to being worried about Danganronpa turning people into murderers.

Ultra Despair Girls looks like trash and as much as I'm up for basically anything Danganronpa I will probably never play it.

Still looking forward to V3 very much.

One of the chapters you have this mini game where you have to 'tickle' an underage girl who was raped as a child in UDG, maybe to help her overcome her past, or something. It's one of the most disturbing thing I've seen in a game.

DRV3 has this whole meta about insulting the player for being a murderous psychopath for playing the game in the first place. If you don't care about that stuff, it's a pretty standard sequelitis deal. More of basically everything which is both good and bad. I find that I end up having to fast forward all the dialogues after DR1 and if I'm not reading the dialogue there seems to be very little compelling reason to play the game since I sure don't play it for the gameplay. It reminds me of the 1 hour long cutscenes in Xenosaga where you want to skip but you're not sure if you'll potentially miss something important, but at least Xenosaga tries to pretend something important is happening. DR always feels like it's filling its quota of red herring and fake complexity.
