• Picked up a few (older and obscure) DC games the other day...

 • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

$20 Canadian each (new!), so although Cannon Spike sucks big floppy donkey dick!, I couldn't really go wrong.

MDK 2

Fun shit... but I'd kill to be able to adjust the controls. I've never been able to get used to using the four face buttons (A, B, X, Y) for movement. So far I'm only on the third stage (Dr. Hawkin's first level), and it's been pretty difficult so far, mostly thanks to the damn controls. But fun so far...

Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage

I stand by my decision in the past in calling this one of the best rentals ever, but seeing as how I loved it so much and it was only $20, I had to grab it. There's not a lotta gameplay involved (average of three to five minutes in between ten minutes of cinemas), but what gameplay there is is good ol' hack n' slash fun. Gotta love the blood. And boy is Gatsu one bad muddafucka.

Cannon Spike

This was the second biggest mistake purchase I've ever made (next to Pit Fighter for the SNES). And I also believe it's the worst game Capcom's ever made. It's fun for about five seconds until you realize you're going to be doing the same fucking thing throughout the game's 10 craptacular levels (each averaging one to two minutes in length). Even fans of "shoot 'em ups" wouldn't like this game... and if they do, they shouldn't. It's just wrong. Not even the fact that Megaman, BB Hood, and Cammy appear in the game can save it (Charlie from the Alpha series is there too, but he's a punkass). This one should've stayed in the arcades.

MDK2 kicks ass. You'll get used to the controls, but it just gets harder. I've had the game almost since I've had my DC, and I still can't beat the damned last boss. Great game, though.
