I mean, that armor on Voyager was just mouth watering.. not to mention the nebula and the battles and the monkeys and the... well ok maybe not the monkeys.
But, upon closer examination (and enlightening words from <a href="http://www.pvponline.com Target="new">Scott Kurtz</a>) the ending should have been a LOT better. I mean, we all knew they'd get home.. but what we wanted to know was what would happen when they did!
I mean, the debreifing and the secrets and the ship's unique upgrades and 7of9 and the doctor and the monkeys... well alright, doubt Starfleet would care about the monkeys (bastards). There's also the concept that Voyager's writers just killed off the freakin borg. Come on now,, what is Star Trek without the borg? They killed the queen and the nexus and most likely the entire collective,, now all we can fight is Species 8472? I'm goin' to miss assimilations

They could have done a LOT more with the show. "Paramount just spent seven years setting up a joke and never delivered the punchline" Not quite as harsh as I think... but it makes a point.</div>

It took them 16 years to get back and they've been on earth for an additonal 10 years. Tuvok suffered from some neurodegenerative disorder and Seven died on the way back. Chakotay died soon after their return to earth. Because of this series of events, *Admiral* Janeway wants to set the past straight.
So using a space/time travel doohicky she got from a Klingnon, she goes back to the younger Voyager. She wants them to go through the time thing, but the *Captain* Janeway refuses. Ya see it would require them to use a Borg Gateway (of which there are 6 in the Galaxy). The Gateways allow the Borg to quickly travel to all parts of the Galaxy. It's key to their dominance. *Captain* Janeway thinks they shoud destroy the Gateways...even if it means Voyager gets home.
So skipping a whole lotta stuff, the crew gets their cake and eats it too. With the help of superior technology brought back by *Admiral* Janeway, Voyager is able to destroy all the Gateways and end up at home.

To say that I glossed over some stuff is an understatement, but you get the general gist.</div>
