Osama's goal is to unite the Arab world and awaken an Arab Empire like which has happened in the past. Osama wants a united Islamic Empire.

Their factions do have common enemies though, in the past it was the communists and the Brits, and more recently the Americans. The middle Eastern politics aren't nearly as simple and one dimensional as this Colin Powel will attempt to have us all believe.

Funny thing though, there was a comdey sketch posted on this site a while back by Kupek I believe, take a look at it, its more accurate than anything you'll hear on the news.
