  • New FF game every week for the next 3 weeks (Reminder)

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

Final Fantasy 12 October 31st
Final Fantasy 5 Advance November 6th
Final Fantasy 3DS November 14th

Just a reminder for those of you who are still RPG fans, like myself =)

If by chance you have missed any information on these games, essentially:

FF 5 Advance is a game in a similar style to FF 1&2 Dawn of Souls, and FF4 Advance. It will be the original game with some slight graphical upgrades, and it will have a lot of extra content, new dungeons, side stories, etc...

FF3DS is a remake of the most difficult game in the series. This game was the real transitional one from the old style RPG to the new style FF games, this one was sort of the first of the FF series as most people know it today. Chocobos first make an appearance in this game. Not to mention, it was my favourite RPG by Square until Final Fantasy III (6) on the timeline (Even though I actually played FF3j after). The game has been remade with unique characters, redone 3D graphics, and full motion video cutscenes.

Final Fantasy 12, This is Matsuno's last game with Square, and it promises to be the best FF game ever. This game promises to have a lot more strengths than its predecessor, FFX. It is the first Final Fantasy title to ever receive a 40/40 by Famitsu (which is the top gaming magazine in the world), and the second game by Square to receive such a score (the first being Vagrant Story also developed by Matsuno). This game promises to be the best game released this for this generation of consoles (unless you include Zelda Twilight Princess as this generation, but I think it is obvious that nearly all the Zelda sales will be the Wii version of the game). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_r0L6gkb1u0

Anyways, it is going to be a very interesting next 3 weeks =)

If your looking forward to these games as much as I am.

I'll be getting all of them, although I'm only getting FF12 'cause I got it for $31 Cdn for the tin set from EB (same deal as how I got my 360). I've heard about all the changes but until I see it actually work well, my faith in the series will not be restored

Huh? Didn't you say FF9 already restored your faith in the series?

Either way, I have a lot of faith in FF12 because it is a Matsuno game. I have very little faith in FF13 because it's a Motomu Toriyama game. Who the hell has heard of Motomu Toriyama? Only the people who have paid attention to the credits of FFX-2, because that is the only other game he has directed.
