  • Well it's not Marvel vs Capcom 3...

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

It does look kinda cool. I've always loved the Vs series so I do have hope for this one.

If you go to Magicbox you can see some pics of it. It's Capcom vs some Jap company that owns the rights to a lot of anime. Not Shonen Jump.

Probably means that it would never get ported over to the States.

It likely will. Capcom's fighting games do well here, they've got a decent core. And it ain't hell to translate, not much speech

that's not the problem....the problem is rights issues. different companies own em right nw in the us so it's not just an issue of translating

Very true. That was the problem with Jump Superstars as well

rights management is fuuuuuun....

I've watched insane crap year after year with liscensing in comics. it's driven me crazy. like the guys that owned GI Joe didn't own transformers....so they bought transformers did 4 issues before hasbro sold the joe rights to another company.....toy and anime/manga liscensing rights are going crazy in the US markets right nw with DarkHorse, Tokyopop, and now DC with their CMX line dancing around with it all and a lot of liscense poaching

I thought the whole point of Jump Superstars was a game that features characters on Shonen Jump, and I doubt they're owned by the same publisher here so that'd totally defeat the point of the game.

Yeah, but from our point of view in NA, it would be a game that features all of these great animes that so many love. And it would be so cool to have them fight each other. No one would be thinking of it as the "Shonen Jump" characters.

And there's a huge market here. When I went to New York last year I went to that big games store and the guy told me he alone had sold well over 1000 copies of the game at conventions. With the popularity of things like Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece, that game would FLY. But like Chris said, the licensing is a nightmare.
