  • Suikoden is $2.99 on PSN right now

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

Amazing deal for a pretty good game if you don't already have a copy

Imagine having a copy and not being able to play it. That's the situation I'm in......

I have the Motorstorm 80GB PS3, fully backwards compatible

Sealed it's about $300 for the game. I open it, it drops to $100-$150.

EDIT: Suikoden 2 is a PS1 game, it's playable on all PS3s

That's insane. To think that I used to own a copy of S2 before it got lost somewhere.

They released it just before the PS2 came out without any fanfare whatsoever and on a very small production run. It's like Panzer Saga except there have been many other games that have kept the series alive which is why it's worth so much. I doubt there's more than 25,000-50,000 copies out there. Hell, the guide is worth about $50

The worst part is, they re-released 1 and 2 combined on a UMD over in Japan and just won't bring that over here, not even as a download on the PSN. I guess their number show it's not even worth the cost of translation

No. You can play it. You just choose not to because you value $150 more than the experience of playing it. Or, perhaps more accurately, you value the idea of selling it for $150 more than its opened price more than the experience of playing it.

Yeah that game will never be sold, so, the perceived price is kind of moot. But, thats the excitement for a collector. :D Its fin to know your stuff has some pretty amazing value even if you never intend to cash in on it.

I'd be insane to open it and lose $150, especially when i can just download an image of it.

Flip, you're probably right, I likely wouldn't sell my collection, at least not anytime soon. But I really have floated the idea around of putting the entire collection up on Ebay just to see what it would get. If I could get an offer I can't refuse, I might just let it go. Of course, I'd put an insane reserve just to make sure.

But I have to finish my categorization first so I know exactly what I have. Still haven't finished the Atari systems (2600, 5200, and 7200) or my PC games or the roughly 40 or so games I've purchased over the last 3 months or so.

Update: Castlevania Chronicles is $2.99 (remake of the arcade Haunted Castle; very good game) and Symphony is $4.99 this week.

They're updating the games each week for the 15th anniversary of the PSX
