  • Seiken Densetsu for GBA. Someone might have posted this before, I'm not sure. It's being spruced up to look and play more like SD2 (Secret of Mana).

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

I might end up getting the GBA adapter for the GC. There's three Castlevania games, FFT Advance, SD, Lufia and Metroid Fusion.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>*No spoilers, there are some details spoken, but nothing that would spoil the game plot for anyone*

I definetly appreciate this re-release with the updated graphics, but it sounds like the plot (Emperor Julius?) and gameplay has changed, possibly for the better, possibly for the worse. The plot I can handle, I just hope they don't mess the gameplay up like they did with Secret of Mana.

For anyone who hasn't played the title, but might know a bit about Secret of Mana. Final Fantasy Adventure actually takes place after Secret of Mana, since in Secret of Mana there are a lot of places which are similar to the descriptions of history in FFA. I think one character, "Bogard" is supposed to be the Mana Knight from Secret of Mana, or possibly Secret of Mana 2 (which I didn't finish). Julius is a character in the game, but he is nothing more than a wizard (though he does have a connection with Secret of Mana, but I won't mention what it is), the Emperor is Dark Lord (maybe there was just confusion).

Gameplay, you can power up your weapon and do different moves. The magic system is unique, you cast a spell like Nuke and it will shoot a fireball out blasting whatever is in your path, or you can use ice and fire out an icecle which you can control with the control pad; I really hope the magic system remains the same, the Secret of Mana one was very bad and horribly overpowered. Items were used similar to Zelda, but they had limited usage, keys, pic axes, etc... It also had a unique companion system, you could control them through the menu to a limited extent (use ask, and you might get healed or magic replenished, etc...), otherwise they'd go out and attack enemies on their own.

The dungeons were all done fairly well.

I had a lot of fun with that game when I was a kid, and I am definetly glad that they are bringing an updated version of it out.

PS. I posted about this several times last year =P</div>

<div style='font: 12pt Arial; text-align: left; '>A remake of Final Fantasy Adventure (Seiken Densetsu I)? I tried playing that game after I first beat SoM (Seiken Densetsu II) but I wasn't very impressed. Hopefully this remake will be better than the poor quality Zelda rip-off that FFA was.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>Hehe, that game was one of my first RPGs, it kicked ass, I played it before the SNES came out so I liked it alot. :)</div>

<div style='font: 11pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light"; text-align: left; '>SoM's magic may have been overpowered, but it took a while to build up. Secret of Evermore actually did some good with fixing the magic system, while not nerfing it totally.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>Bah I actually went back through SoM and used magic sparingly. It was pretty fun. :) By the end of SoE you weren't using anything but the Bazokaa...</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Heh, I'm probably one of the few people in the world who liked SoE better overall than SoM. SoE in my opinion is the most underated Square game on SNES.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light"; text-align: left; '>Well, the fourth area was mostly weapons. Actually, it was mostly the dog. But, the first three has use for the attack magic. (Actually, the support magic for the 4th area was awesome.)</div>
