The Other Worlds Shrine

Your place for discussion about RPGs, gaming, music, movies, anime, computers, sports, and any other stuff we care to talk about...

  • So I just ordered myself one of those SNES-style import GameCube controllers, and will soon be getting a GB Player to go with it.  I already know some games I want (see inside), but could use some recommendations...

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Games I know I want eventually:

Mega Man Zero
Mega Man Zero 2
Super Dodge Ball
Metroid Fusion (probably - hard to believe it's better than Prime)
River City Ransom EX (when it comes out)
Castlevania: XXXXX of XXXXX (which one?)

Anybody else got a must-play (RPG, probably) they know about?

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>As for Metroid Fusion, it is an amazing game but I don't think there are many people who would say it is better than Metroid Prime; but there are some who just absolutely hate first person views, and they like the game better. Prime is perhaps one of the most detailed games ever to be created; I would say for Console, so far, that it is. It's just a lot of fun to play, but to be honest with you, I had way more fun with the game coming back to it 6 months later than I did my first time playing it (but I'm like that with a lot of games, sometimes it's years instead of months). Fusion is definetly the best of the 2D Metroid games though.

As for the GBA player, just a warning that on the GBA SP, the graphics of games look quite a bit better than SNES, but on the player, for some reason it seems as if the color is not done nearly as well. It's not a big deal at all if you don't really care all that much for that sort of stuff.

I'll try to come up with a better list later, but I have about 3 hours until a final.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Pokemon Pinball is amazing, FFTA, Advance wars 1 & 2. MM Battle Network games are different, but good. Get Harmony of Dissonance last, it's the worst of the Castlevania games</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>By "worst one" he means that it is a game worth getting, but that the other two are better. Some people argue that Circle of the Moon is the lesser of the three because of the graphics.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>At first I thought you said "sleazy", and now that I think of it, you should've said sleazy instead. It's more amusing that way. :)</div>
