  • Finally beat Viewtiful Joe on Ultra V-rated.  Holy fucking Mother Crappershit poopy that was fucking insanely hard.  MY GOD

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>The hard modes kind of pissed me off. The little black ninja guys aren't fun to fight - it really just limits your strategy to "Slowmo-Zoom-Hold Punch-Repeat"</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>This is a Capcom game, right? I think Capcom has an obsession with torturing players with insanely hard modes. Devil May Cry had similar problems with the Hard and DMD modes.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>Viewtiful Joe's hard modes weren't so much hard as repetitive though, imo (though I never actually played Ultra V-Rated yet). When you start a new game in the hard modes you get to keep all your moves, plus you know what you're doing</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I believe the only difference between V-rated and Ultra is that there are no skull marks on Ultra (and maybe even more damage, I'm not sure). And you know how I solve the problem of insanely hard/repetitive Capcom difficulty modes? I go play something else. =)</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>No skulls? Damn. That may be worse than I thought. And, yeah, that's my solution too, but I would like to play as Alastor or Captain Blue sometime</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Yeah, without the skulls you can only tell which way a Blanky is going to attack based on his stance immediately before attacking, and the Metal Leos make different grunts for their attack heights. As Derith has shown it's doable, but I'm not willing to put myself through that much torture.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>Heh. I didn't even think about those fucking Leos. That IS torture.</div>
