  • Ahhh lovely, just got back from like 5 hours of PvP raiding, counter raiding. Hear my tale damn you all!

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>Around 1AM, I was in the Iron Forge AH selling my recently farmed Felcloth, I decided I wanted to get more, so I flew to Menethil Harbor(Did any of you know that's Arthas's last name? Anyway.) I use captain place holder and go to Auberdine about to fly to Felwood when I see "Gates of IronForge Under Attack!" in the WorldDefense. At first I'm like...well it's late, it might just be 4-5 Horde or so, as usual at this time of night. Then is spams some more like 9 times. So I turn around from the griffin and immediately start heading back to IF. I message my guildmates(all 5 of them, lol, I'm so changing guilds this week) and I also message everyone in the Alliance channel, as well as all my level 60 friends, informing them of what's POSSIBLY going on. Nobody really believed it was alot of Horde, so at this point I'm playing scout. I get to IF, and when I'm flying in I notice a bunch of dead guards at the entrance, like 20 corpses or so, I didn't see the Horde, I'm assuming that's lag. I get off the griffin at IF, and I run towards the AH, and I see....oh...about 50 bloody horde in battle. ALL of the guards were dead. I don't know if there's a limit or so, but according to blizzard 2 guards spawn for every 1 enemy faction in the area, but all the guards had died. So I was a little like "Whoa..." I immediately send out tells to all my friends/guildsmen/alliance defenders telling them to get to IF quickly, MAJOR Horde raid going down, and I do my part as well, I charged in and used intimidating shout in an attempt to split up their forces which worked for about 30 seconds. I somehow managed not to die, IF lag + massive ppl lag + targeting & attack lag make it hard to hit your target until your connection adjusts.

Anyways I duck off and shadowmeld waiting for back-up to arrive, and I'm just amazed at the sight of about 100 level 55 IronForge guards dying like it's nothing to the onslaught of the Horde, finally about 10 of my level 60 companions arrive, so we lured a few of them into the hallways causing more guards to spawn, when that happened we all charged them head on, lots of fear, lots of intimidating shouts, lots of everything. Took us about 20 minutes to clear them out of IF(They bragged about it on the BNET Realm Fourms like 10 minutes later). So now we're a little pissed, we just got served in our own house, that's just...wrong. So we decide to get even! We organized a raid of level 50+ Alliance members to counter attack the Horde at the Undercity as well as Orgimmaar. We got 40 people and we proceeded to the Undercity, the Undercity has the best guards the Elite Deathguards are all level 62(non-elite don't let the name fool you) but we plowed through them like it was nothing. We got to the Dark Lady Slyvanis's chamber and the first time we tried to take her out, we wiped, but it was unorganized so we figured we'd try it again(everyone had been running up one at a time). So we all grouped together for a 2nd attempt at her.

All 40 of us charged her. She struck me for about 3000. Somebody then aggroed Varimathas somehow and he whacked me for 1500, then the 20 deathguard elites aggroed on me, which really isn't that hard to deal with, but the problem is ALL 20 OF THEM FOCUS ON ONE TARGET. They don't hit hard like 75hp a whack, but when you have 20x75hp(1500hp) instantly that's a lot. >_< The one thing I'd like to add is, I was in Beserker stance ATM and I also was using recklessness which increased my damage taken by base +10%, +20% damage, so I was really taking a bigger amount of damage then I needed too. I actually managed to survive and use a Runecloth Bandage, but then my Warrior friend who had pulled the 20 Deathguard off me died and they came back to their original target and I died too. Slowly but surely we all started dying. lol Got her down to about 95% health. The problem is that she uses vanish/teleport, and you lose the target and it's hard to find her amoung the 60 or so targets on the screen, so we need to rethink how to try to take her out in the future.

So we wiped out there, but we still didn't feel like we had taken back our pride, so we took the Zeph from the Undercity to Durotar! We got to the city and charged right in, slaughtered the guards a few 60s were there and they fought but they dropped like flies, we killed their banker, as well as their AH people, and were dancing and camping in the entrance of their city. This went on for about 30 minutes until the Shaman/Hunters took to the roofs and started sniping us. That combined with the guards led to a wipe, but we left our mark. I DID manage to literally take on 20 guards when we hit Orgimmar Challenging Shout + Retaliation + Demoralizing Shout + Cleave = power ownage, and without any level 500 backing them I had it a little easier. :)

That's my story, I STILL need to get a better weapon, but I only have about 50% of the materials for the Arcanite Champion. >_< Once I have a end game weapon life will be easier.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt Dominion; text-align: left; '>pretty cool, we have a horde guild on our server called Flipmod Squad that goes around pulling stunts (like a naked lvl 2 making his way to the IF king) but no one's pulled off something like that as far as I've heard</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>There's a lot of zones for quests. ZF is a waste of time anyway. Maraudon is the way to go for loot.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>The Carrot and Ring quests are well worth it. Also you need to do some ZF quests to get your Sunken Temple quests. It's ZF is really not a hard place but you need a party of 48-49 to be successful.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>Like I said, I didn't waste quest exp rewards when I had about 5 bars to go, so I always just went grinding when I had like 5 bars to go. Tanaris--->Felwood----> Un'Goru Crator---> Eastern/Western Plaguelands -> Winterspring.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Xp now and xp later is the same thing... but anyway, Tanaris ogres are overcons (but brutes are undercons) so they're good to grind, but usually pretty camped as well.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Temple doesn't have anything that you can't get in Maraudon, except the quest dagger. Divine-o-matic requires a specialized group to win. By the time you can clear to anything that drops loot in ZF you can get to the Priestess in Maraudon using the scepter, with the same group.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>Also the last boss at ZF drops those Plate shoulders(Big Bad Pauldrons) which are end game material unless you want to go to BRS and one of the insanely hard bosses frop Lightforge Spaulders or Spaulders of Valor.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>There's a big difference between grinding out 5 whole levels and grinding for 30 minutes for the end of 1 level and then getting back to questing so you don't get bored. When I ran out of normal quests I was 59, it took me a 2-3 days just because I hated grinding.</div>
