Saw that yesterday too. Two comments about it:

1) There's an analog stick on the top of it. One-handed FPS, perhaps? Possibility of dual-wielding John Woo-style? Of course, questions keep coming after that. Does this Zapper shell have the nunchaku's accelerometer as well? If dual-wielding is revealed as an FPS option, does that mean that the Will comes standard with two remotes? (Then again, the drum game footage they showed during the press conference points to that as well.)

2) It does seem kinda pointless considering the remote already kinda acts like a light gun. This thing better be bundled, or really cheap.

Yeah, you CAN use it like a gun just by pointing the remote, but it's MUCH better in the shell. There's nothing better than aiming a gun, it just makes it feel better. It's like playing Guitar Hero with the controller instead of the guitar ;-)
