  • Has anyone else played Shannara?

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

<div style='font: 11pt Dominion, Modern; text-align: left; '>About 5 years ago I got the RPG game for xmas, my first RPG as a matter of fact. I got the book that started the whole things; The Sword of Shannara. Now, 5 years ago I was just a kid, and this book is over 600 pages long.. so I skipped the book and played the game, oblivious to the history. The cutscenes were Amazing back then, and all players were voiced. There were many different endings (only one ended completely happily), and it was the first (and only!) game that made me cry.. the emotions set by the dialogue was too much, I still think it's one of the best written RPG's I've played. Well, 2 months ago I found The Sword of Shannara lying around in my room and decided to read it. Since this post is about the game, let me just say that the book was GREAT, best fantasy book I read.
After completing the book, I decided to try the game again. I was amazed to find it actually had an autorun, I remembered having to set up Extended Memory in DOS to play this. The game itself isn't that long, it's about 1/3 the length of FF7. I got through it in about 6 hours, with a little help from my strat guide that I don't quite remember buying.
I just wanted to know if anyone else has read the books/played the game</div>

<div style='font: 12pt Modern; text-align: left; '>I read all the main books as well as one of the ones that came later (don't remeber the name) a LONG time ago. I remember them being very enjoyable but I remember next to nothing about them. I was considering getting the game when it came out but for some reason didn't.</div>

I have no idea what you're talking about, kali. I'm taking time off from work trying to catch your sorry, liar ass.

How'd you make all that money in real estate, kali? By lying to renters and tenants?

This isn't really a reply to this thread. But if this response gets deleted over in Daily Stuph...it'll still be here...

I'm no expert on anything that happened in 2001 on this board, but I don't think Corak is all too interested in your off-topic conversation.

Sorry, man. I'm just a bit zealous about trying to catch kali in his miserable lies...maybe a bit too zealous. I really should be working, but his untrustworthy ass makes me angry.

Not at all (though just bipolar is no means "crazy"), I'd probably suggest that you see a psychologist and find some meds that work...

Either way, keep this shit out of GT, or at least, I'll be kind enough to.

much love, Derith.

btw, I'm working on a game that's an interactive comic book. any interest in joining in?

I can pay...not much, but I can pay probably up to a grand or so for some art, if you were interested in doing some quick stuff.

pm me if so...

I've seen more shrinks than Woody Allen. And taken more meds than Keith Richards. Keep your ass out of my business.

I'd be glad to come on as a writer/editor. if there is one thing I get it's being able to make everything work right in the comic medium. send me some info. I also have enough connections with artists that I could probably talk to some folks into working come box/manual art or put you in touch with folks that could get you some stuff for it. and yeah I am not huge on needing cash. I would be damn damn glad to come on as a consuiiltant or something for cheap and credit.....

hit me up with an e-mail I'll see how I can help you
