<div style='font: 11pt Dominion, Modern; text-align: left; '>About 5 years ago I got the RPG game for xmas, my first RPG as a matter of fact. I got the book that started the whole things; The Sword of Shannara. Now, 5 years ago I was just a kid, and this book is over 600 pages long.. so I skipped the book and played the game, oblivious to the history. The cutscenes were Amazing back then, and all players were voiced. There were many different endings (only one ended completely happily), and it was the first (and only!) game that made me cry.. the emotions set by the dialogue was too much, I still think it's one of the best written RPG's I've played. Well, 2 months ago I found The Sword of Shannara lying around in my room and decided to read it. Since this post is about the game, let me just say that the book was GREAT, best fantasy book I read.
After completing the book, I decided to try the game again. I was amazed to find it actually had an autorun, I remembered having to set up Extended Memory in DOS to play this. The game itself isn't that long, it's about 1/3 the length of FF7. I got through it in about 6 hours, with a little help from my strat guide that I don't quite remember buying.
I just wanted to know if anyone else has read the books/played the game</div>
